New Year's Eve

Dear Chummy,

Oh my God, it's Wednesday again already! How has this week gone so quickly when I've done so little??
I'm glad to hear you're proud of my last post, I was pretty proud too considering how intoxicated I was.. Christmas Eve was so much fun, but I'm going to use my magic crystal ball to *predict* that tonight - New Year's Eve - is going to be absolutely awful! Ticky-Tocky is fab, very busy (obvs).

I'm really missing uni, I prefer the city and the people there.I definitely think there is no way I'll be moving back here lol. I'm so excited that you're looking into going to uni, I think you'll love it!

CHRISTMAS WAS GOOD!! I'M SO GLAD YOU GOT A POLAROID CAMERA WE CAN TAKE PHOTOS LIKE TAYLORS YAY! I GOT A BAG FROM URBAN OUTFITTERS AND SOME PERFUME AND MONEY - BUT I CAN'T SPEND IT BECAUSE I HAVE TO SAVE FOR A HOUSE DEPOSIT. sigh.

I still haven't really bought you a present, but when we go away in the beginning of the year I'll might just pay for flights or something, 'Experience is better than items' - Quote of the day.
I'm really ill too. I blame having to see family haha. I can't wait to see that video! I'm literally counting down the days til I see you (it's ten).

Today is the last day of the year and naturally a new year brings new goals, some reflection and a little motivation to change. I'm very excited to see what 2015 will bring and I want to make the most of it. I want to travel more this year, and work harder, I want to use social media less and less and I really really want to cut my hair (that one's scary!). I want to take lots of photos and spend time with the people I love. I want to cut out the people that fill my life with negativity and I want to go on more long walks. What do you want from the new year?

I really enjoyed Olivia's note, bless her. I'd let Evan write one but he's upstairs playing on his xbox. I'm not sure where everyone else is, I'm on my own in the living room and the fire's on but it's still so cold!!

I'm starting to think it's going to be Justin's soon til i see you :(

I very almost forgot until you kindly reminded me that its sunday, oops that was a close one. I really enjoyed your letter and I am extremely proud that you managed to type a post that made complete sense under the influence of alcohol. Did you have fun on christmas eve? Hows our little, taller than me, ricky? Toast to the three best friends that anyone can have ;).

So you're missing uni? To be honest I miss your uni too I feel free there then I come home to this haha and its only for a short visit. When I start uni next year I will visit home as least as possible like you and Mel. Make sure you ask your flatmates how their christmas was from me.

CHRISTMAS WAS GOOD!! WHAT DID YOU GET (This is the part where we pretend we don't already know) I GOT A POLAROID CAMERA SO WE CAN TAKE CUTE SELFIES YARRRR! AND IM GOING TO TAKE IT TRAVELING IN SUMMER! I ALSO GOT THE 1989 VINYL AND IVE BEEN PLAYING IT NON STOP IT SOUNDS SO MUCH BETTER, ITS THE COOLEST THING! OH AND CHARLOTTE BOUGHT ME A MAP OF THE WORLD POSTER AND WHEN YOU'VE BEEN TO THE PLACES YOU SCRACH IT OFF, PRETTY AMAZING.

I can't wait to see you and give you your present, I think you'll like it, and I wrapped it up in disney wrapping paper, so cute. I bought that just for you I know how much you love Disney - I'm such a good friend.

Haven't really been up to a lot after Christmas day just visited Oxford to see family the normal boring stuff you have to do after the one fun relaxing day of the year haha. I have left there really ill though oh and with a really irritable pain (Olivia). She asks how Evan is and if you had a nice Christmas though so I guess thats cute. This year we bought her a mini furby but when we wrapped it up we replaced it with coal so she had a shock when she opened the box..  that may have been the highlight of the whole of Christmas for me. Don't worry you won't have missed it, we videoed it. 'Expect the unexpected' - Quote of the day.

I don't have any photos this time either because I am very unprepared for this letter as I didn't realise it was Sunday today, I'll remember some for next time for sure.

Oh yeah I made a Taylor Swift mix tape and its the most amazing thing so now I think you should get a tape player so I can make a tape for you, you know kinda like what you did on my iPod but with an actual tape. Old Schooool like yeah!

The Late One

Dear Chummy, 

Hi. Hello. Aloha. Happy Christmas Eve!! 

How exciting is it to know that this time tomorrow will be Christmas Day - the best day of the year!! Aaahh!!

So as you know, I've really really struggled to write today's blog post, I'm pretty sure I've ruined the blog with this being so so late. BUT apart from my lack of organisation and that horrible feeling where you can't type because your hands ache after two words, I think this blog is going really well! I'd even go as far as to say it's the best idea we've ever had!

I came home this week and after looking forward to it so so much, I've realised it's not all it's cracked up to be.. After three months of total freedom and a double bed, I have to follow stupid rules and I'm stuck on the world's least comfortable camp bed or sharing with my little brother who takes up all the room!!

It's such a shame you couldn't come and see Jack and co. I know you'd have really enjoyed it especially because you are like Princess Fiona locked away in basically a tower/fairytale cottage. Also, while on this topic.. is it 'Phill' or 'Phil' because I couldn't decide, so I looked in the last card you wrote me and you had pur 'Phil' so I copied that, but now you're putting two 'l's so urmmm thanks for setting a good example. Yes, I should know this by now but sometimes I doubt myself okay?!

I love how your sister sings along to Shake it Off, me and Evan had a little dance party for two the other day and danced to that song, I'm sure I sent you a snapchat, and me and mum have been listening to 1989 in the car :)

I saw my dad today, he told me he hasn't bought me a card yet, I'm going to see him later though so he'll have bought one by then. UPDATE: He bought one and wrote it out in front of me.. I think you're right, our dad's must be friends or at least they're on the same wavelength!!

Other than working, I haven't done a great deal since I've been home, I went to The Redwell last night and caught up with some of the guys and tonight I'm going (have been because I'm writing this at 3:30am on Christmas Day oops) out in town.

That website was so jazzy and relevant too, considering I took a break earlier from my Stars and Planets revision to write some of this. (I say revision, I did about a page of notes)

I love your book club idea, I would love to be involved!! I'm currently reading The Book Thief. I'm not far into the book yet, but what I have read is really really good! I really want to read The Scarlett Letter but I feel like I know what's happened because of Easy A #spoileralert.

Tumblr Update: I have definitely liked a lot more stuff since last Wednesday! I cannot wait to see you (although I' glad it's not tomorrow I see you because I still need to buy your Christmas present lol)

I'm going to leave it here because I have actually just got in from town and I'm sure I'm still drunk and it is now almost 4am real time but it still counts as Wednesday until I go to sleep and wake up! I'm sorry there's no pictures, I haven't actually taken any this week :(

Dear Chummy,

This blog is going well at the moment don't you think. I very much enjoyed your letter thank you for the link about the cats it was brilliant. And your flat looks so christmasy decorated with pretty lights and advent calendars. I must admit this post is taking me longer to write I'm not sure why though; every time I do something now I always say to myself oh I have something to write to chelsea about in my next blog post but now that I am sat here writing it, I can't for the life of me remember those things. Typical.

SOME HOW I HAVE MANAGED TO LOCK MY KEYBOARD INTO TYPING IN CAPITALS AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET IT OFF THAT (NO CAPS LOCK IS NOT ON BEFORE YOU SAY THING OUT LOUD TO YOURSELF - IM NOT THAT STUPID). Shit it was caps lock oh my god. Oh also I feel like now that we're making blog posts like this that if I want to say omg I have to type it out fully it seems more professional, although what just happened definitely was not. Shall we just ignore this part of the post? Yes I think we shall, moving on…


Ok I remember a few things, so all week I had planned out that I would go to work with Phill on Friday  so that I was able to meet up with Fay, Jasmine, Jack and Siobhan for a small catchup and to see them before the new year and I were really excited because I miss them nearly as much as I miss you and because I don't see any other human beings apart from my family, I am sick to death of them. Well anyway the night before Phill decides to tell me that he's not working on that day anymore because he had a long day and he's tired, which I understand but it really annoyed me because he knew he would be having a long day and yeah he still woke up the same time the next day so 'tired' wasn't at all it. So I haven't seen anyone in a long time, it makes me very sad. 'Life sucks' - Quote of the day, ish.

Rant over; maybe.

Today I got to see my litter sister for a few hours which was really lovely, I took her christmas presents oh and birthday presents to her and she was singing shake it off and I'm all about that base and it was just really great to see her in person for once. She was telling me all about school and being picked to be team leader, and she has frozen posters all in her room so she loved the blanket I bought her, it went really well with the rest of her room. My dad gave me one of her school photos so when you come and visit we need to go and my a little cute frame to put that in. Also my dad did that thing you know where they write you a card while you're sat right there haha, I think maybe our dads are friends and they planned this kinda thing, i don't know.

I also feeling like I'm just telling you about my days let me find something more interesting to tell you about, hold on. [Ok as I typed hold on, I realised what a stupid thing that was to say, we're not having a conversation in person right now, though I do feel like I'm talking to myself haha do you feel like that when you're typing your posts?]

The other day my friend Camilla from twitter and I decided that we're going to start a book club where we will send each other books and we have to read them and email each other about the book, what we like, what we don't like, who our favourite characters are like a book review in an email. Its a pretty cool idea I think you should join us, I fell like you would very much enjoy that. She's going to send me The Scarlet Letter. Im thinking about sending her that book we bought at the old book store you know the unwritten one, and we can compare endings not that I have had time to read it myself yet.

GIRAFFE FACT: Baby Giraffes can stand within half an hour and after only 10 hours can actually run alongside their family.

Thats pretty cool I mean I can't even stand after 10 hours of being awake, I'm impressed. I approve of baby giraffes. 

This is probably getting a little boring for you sorry that I have gone on and on about such boring stuff again, I hope you don't fall asleep reading this I probably would. But yeah ok I'm going to stop now, I'll small talk with you with some sort of app thats wasting space on my phone.

Christmas in Brizzle

Dear Chummy,

I really enjoyed reading your post, how long did it take you to write? I've been sat here for a good hour staring at the screen. This is a lot harder than I thought it'd be!
Who is Ed Shering?! What even is that?! You're so right, she definitely doesn't deserve the CD for that, but I think your mum's great, and it is nearly Christmas, so I think I'll let her off!
I'm glad to read that you're as disorganised as me! I've literally bought Rosie and Evan a couple of presents and noone else yet. I'm normally so good at this, but I just haven't had the time. Now all of my Uni work is out of the way though, I think I might have a wander down to Cabot's Circus and the Christmas market tomorrow and see what I can find before I go home on Friday!

So this is the first year where I haven't spent the run up to Christmas at home with my family. I haven't opened my advent calendar with my little brother after his breakfast and I haven't decorated the Christmas tree or turned the living room into a grotto.
Instead, I've spent it in Bristol with my flatmates, opening my advent calendar minutes after midnight, because that still counts as being the next day, right? having Christmas dinner and a festive party two weeks early, and winning (Yes that's right, we finally won something!) the 'Christmas Dec Off'. So despite being bogged down with Uni work and yet another cold, I managed to have a rather chilled and Christmassy week.

On Friday night, Alex cooked me pizza and we watched a movie while everyone was out. Yes, you read that right.. he actually cooked dinner! I'm not convinced it counts though, he literally just had to shove it in the oven - I guess you know how difficult that is though ;). I'm not entirely sure where Saturday went, but Sunday was spent singing along to One Direction's new album with Hal while I revised and he baked a brownie and gingerbread house masterpiece! 'Sundays are for baking' - Quote of the day.

I was going to tell you about Monday as well, but I feel like this post has just become a day by day list of what I've and that's pretty dull, so I'll leave you this picture so you can figure it out for yourself. I'm not too sure you'll get it though..

It's weird you should say you were listening to She and Him's new album while writing your post because their cover of Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me has just come on. I know it's not from their new album but relevant, right? I love this song. I think she sings it brilliantly, I think she's brilliant. Can I be her now?

Dear Chummy,

I get the joy of writing the first internet letter because you chose wednesdays, thank you for that. Ok so today I went shopping and managed to get my mum The Walking Dead box set and Ed Sheeran cd, although she doesn't deserve the cd because on her list she wrote Ed Shering, what even is that? Still not prepared for christmas though, I have so many people to buy for except you, well ish because you still don't have your birthday present yet, oops. "great things take time"  - Quote of the day.

Nothing else has really happened since we decided to make this blog on friday so I'm not too sure what to write this time. I lied, I spent 4 hours the other night watching the rugrats on netflix; that was definitely the highlight of my week. YESTERDAY WAS TAYLOR'S BIRTHDAY!!! I REPEAT YESTERDAY WAS TAYLOR'S BIRTHDAY. Did you see she had a pizza party and so many people went; Nick was invited but Joe wasn't heheheee, she's got a long list of ex lovers not invited. Seriously though life goals, I want to have a pizza party with the people there, and Justin Timberlake had a poop emoji hat 100% sure I need that in my life.

I am currently listening to She and Him's new album while I'm writing to you, I really like it its very relaxing however Volume 3 is my favourite. I really like We'll meet again the most I have that one on repeat I'm not too sure why. 'Keep smiling through, Just like you always do.'

We'd like to use our first post to welcome you to our little space on the internet, dearestchummy.blogspot.com ! This blog will be written in the style of letters between two best friends. We are Chelsea Sargeant and Georgia Weaver. We currently live an eight hour (if we're lucky) coach journey apart and enjoy sending letters to eachother by post, but we thought this would be a nice way of saving money on stamps!
