Nuevos Comienzos

Dear Chummy,

Your letter was very exciting to read, I am definitely looking forward to this year with you it will be a good one. I know 2015 wasn't the best year for you but we had some amazing times and created some unforgettable memories that I will honestly cherish forever and ever. I really want to pay a tribute to that year in this post because to me it was one of the best years of my life. I finally did things that made me happy with the people that made me happy and although I lost and learnt along the way (yes, I'm talking about lending people you call your 'friend's money, and nearly a year later and still not getting it back) but I replaced those people with new friends that are amazing, I can't wait for you to meet them.

Happy things to remember about 2015;
  • Trips to London, just the two of us was so much fun. Visiting and seeing a different side to the city - we still need to go back to that museum that was closed and the cat cafe
  • Getting a tattoo, I know this seems like something we shouldn't be happy about however I have started to like it more now because people always ask me about it, why do you have a boat? why did you get this tattoo? what does it mean? - these questions always make me think of you and how we got them for friendship and whenever I catch it out of the corner of my eye I now smile because it represents us truly being best friends forever.
  • Trips to different cities in Europe, both Cologne and Amsterdam. These two places were so much fun, and more fun because I was there with you. Visiting the beautiful cathedral and art museums and eating the best chicken selection boxes at mcdonalds in Germany to the cute cat museum and art museums and walks around Amsterdam city. AND OF COURSE SEEING TAYLOR SWIFT!!!!
  • Seeing Taylor with you 3 times was the highlight of my year, making the costumes and wearing them and all the lights and glitter and signs and everything was amazing! She really did know how to put on the best shows ever. I think I will always remember the clean performance and crying at it. Again I wouldn't have had so much fun looking like a fool dancing and singing my heart out if you weren't there to join me. - I also think if we had worn our outfits for the manchester show we definitely would have been meeting her, I saw mama swift look at us loads of times. (Theres always next time)
  • Living and working with you in Bristol (I know it wasn't for long but) I had an awesome time experiencing life as a student for that time. I also loved watching movies/documentaries/tv shows with you and ordering food at 2 in the morning because thats what time we thought was appropriate to eat dinner. Maybe I can do the same again this summer.
  • Random visits and sleepovers are always fun whatever year we have them but I thought I would mention them in this post.
  • Going to the beach and being attacked by the sand, not fun that was actually really painful but I still enjoyed recreating our photos on the fair rides.
Theres probably more but I stayed up late so many times in a row so far the past couple of weeks I think its finally hitting me. I might actually finish this post tomorrow…. (update: I went to sleep, and came back to it today)

Your letter arrived today, I loved it so much! Thank you for that, I really needed something to cheer me up, I'm going to keep it forever and the photo was the cutest - I put it on my wall already.

Im looking forward to you visiting me soon so we can go for walks at like one in the morning in our pyjamas and take photos and genuinely catch up! We can watch a season of the vampire diaries if I buy it before you come (unless you already have it, then bring it with you, remember when I cried like a baby at the end of season 5. I was not ready for that emotion)! We can also go and see jess about the money if she's even there hmm.

I think you'll appreciate the fact that I'm listening to Justin while I type this post, getting me excited to see him. Do you think he'll perform songs from journals? I hope so, that album was so underrated. Im still annoyed you can't buy a physical cd copy of it, although we can get the vinyl thats cool. We will totally meet him on tour, omg remember when I told everyone he'd gone and they started shouting hate at me? lol

Small bucket list we can constantly add to,
2016:
  • See Justin and meet him obviously
  • Travel to more places
  • Visit more museums
  • Take more photos (polaroid, film and digital)
  • Make the most of life
  • Be happy
  • See more of each other
  • Get through education
  • Worry about money less
  • Keep up to date with this blog more
  • Send more cards (getting post makes me happy)
  • VIDEO MORE TO MAKE ONE AT THE END OF THE YEAR OF EVERYTHING WE DID IN 2016, - I think this is such a good idea to look back on in a few years.
I don't really know what else to write about so I'll leave it here I'm sure you're getting bored of reading this now anyway.

Love and miss you so so so so much

Georgia xx

Ps: the title means new beginnings in spanish, you should know that because you did that at school, I put it because Spain is one of the places we're seeing Justin

New Year, New Posts?

Dear Chummy,

Having both said that we miss keeping this blog up to date I have taken the responsibility of writing the first post. The first post in 7 months; the first post of the new year. I'm not going to bother with a catch up post, I'm not going to focus on the past. Instead I want to focus on the future because that's what gives me hope and I have high hopes for the next year. I want to actually sort my life out ya know (said every person ever), put effort in with my degree rather than pretend it doesn't exist, save money, sort out my love life and eat properly. I feel like 2016 is going to be the year that I actually grow up. I think it needs to be. I need to be happy. We have a few plans for the next year, and even though you don't seem excited yet, they're going to be great - and we're going to have more.

The most exciting plan is hands down going to be the Purpose Tour. I honestly can't wait to stand in that crowd in front of my idol, with my bestest friend. I can't wait to be singing our hearts out to songs that have helped me throughout basically all of my teen years, so cliche. Tour is going to be so much fun, posters and fairy lights. Imagine if we met him. After all this time. I say that like we haven't met him before but sometimes I don't really count that.

I can't wait to see some new cities with you. I've been looking into Madrid and there's mountains not far from the city and we can go on hikes, and it's a really historic city with heaps to do. I'm also thinking because it's still 11 months away, plenty of time to save money (don't worry just yet, and I got u anyway because I'm only excited about this because you're coming), Madrid is only £6 coach from Barcelona so it will be so easy to go there too for a couple of days - I mean we might as well. We can go to beaches too and definitely Justin's other spanish show ;). Oslo will be just as incredible, I'm excited to go in February so I can explore a bit and figure out where we need to stay and exciting things we can do - I bet there is some amazing hiking routes there too! And we can go sledging as well in knee deep snow and take LOADS of photos.

Here is a really good website I've found that looks useful: http://www.eurocheapo.com/blog/category/spain/madrid - this is the link for madrid, but they have stuff on other countries too.

I've decided that this year I actually do really want to get the purpose tattoo. 2015 was a tough year for me, and if all goes to plan I can turn that around this year, put things right, find my purpose. On top of this I have always wanted to get a Justin related tattoo, a subtle one, and this seems perfect. I think I'll get it when we see him in Oslo, fitting.

I'm 21 this year. Scary. I don't really know what to say about that so I'm just going to end it here. Dramatic.

Love and miss you more than anything.

Keepin' it Listy

Dear Chummy,

So I've been slacking, like really slacking, and this post is gunna be rubbish (note from the end: maybe not, I kinda like it) but I thought I best post something to fill the dry spell before I get back into it next week - which I will, I promise. I have so much I want to write about but we'll keep it listy.

A few years ago, maybe year nine, I got a little notebook and I started writing a bucket list in it. I still have that notebook and I still cross things off and add things in, so I thought I'd share some of the things I have done and things I still want to do. ok? good

So the first two goals on my list are:

  • Get up at a set time everyday. - ok so we all know this still isn't happening, maybe i'll work on it. It's nice to see what was most important to younger me.
  • Meet Justin Bieber. - now this one did happen. turns out it is actually easier to meet the world's most famous than it is to have a regular sleeping pattern.

If I turn over the page and pick the top two again, we have:

  • Be happy. - pretty generic goal here, everyone's aim in life I suppose.
  • Go surfing. - this is a nice one, I'd still like to do that but actually learn and do it properly, how rad would that be!

A few random ones from the rest of the many pages:

  • Attend a film premiere. - well we did this one together, that was a really long day but I deffo wanna do it again, Mockingjay Part 2? Next Avengers? Anything Potter themed? Please?
  • Make a list of 100 books.. read them all. - still yet to do this one. why? you ask, i don't know. It's kinda tough isn't it? I could've done it by now though I suppose.
  • Meet twitter followers. - this makes me sound like I thought I was famous haha! I met Kitty I guess, I can't remember who else, you're better at this one than me.
  • Climb The Eiffel Tower. - can we do this? It'd be oh so romantic.
  • Drive a car. - another generic goal. Been there, done that, will probably do it again.
  • Swim with dolphins. - younger me was probably scared from that time my dad took me to florida and everyone swam with the dolphins except for me because they didn't buy me a ticket - if he won't take me, i'll do it my damn self.
  • Learn about Stars. - well I couldn't have fulfilled this one any more, I'm doing a physics degree after all.
  • Throw out all of my underwear and start again. - this one fills me with excitement and anxiety, how great would it be to be able to do this, but all of my underwear? Are you sure younger me? What about my favourite bra? and ya know, those pairs that you save for that time of the month just in case?
  • Be in a TV show audience. - I've ticked this one, counting This is Justin Bieber but really it'd be nice to be in an actual sitcom style show audience, ay.
  • Florida with Georgia. - I am determined to make this one happen, I'm so excited it's unreal.
  • Be inspired. - this is a silly one, most things I do are because someone inspired me but I guess I mean more deeply. Be inspired to change the world or at least make a difference.
  • Inspire. - this is on there too, and that's nice. It's also less silly, it'd be nice to be someone somebody looked up to.
  • Travel the World. - this was in a few more words in the book, naming places I want to go to but specifics are unimportant for this goal, I want to learn about so many different places and cultures and maybe learn some new languages. That'd be a dream.

I've already mentioned meeting Justin Bieber but there's a whole bunch of goals in this book dedicated to meeting some celebrity or another, these include:

  • Justin, obvs
  • Mcfly
  • The Wanted
  • Ed Sheeran
  • Hunger Games Cast
  • The Kooks
  • Taylor Swift
and you know what? I've ticked them all apart from Taylor and our chances of getting that tick are sky high, we got this.

This list was humbling, I mean younger me was ambitious but in hindsight, everything was realistic. Everything on the list is achievable. Yes maybe at fourteen/fifteen years old there were a lot of restrictions but I'm older now and I could do anything from this list that I wanted to, if I set my mind to it. Also, ambitious as I might have been, it's nice to see that I thought things like 'brush teeth twice daily' 'buy vogue' and 'dye my hair' deserved a place on the list of things to do before I die.
What's also nice is that most of the thing's I've actually ticked off, I've done with you and those I haven't ticked off I want to tick off with you.

In my head this was going to be a short post, but I really got into it - it was fun to write, and I'm putting off revision haha.

Hope you enjoy this.

In a while, crocodile.

Looks like its just me

Dear Chummy,

Bro where the Jesus lord are your posts? Have you forgotten about me? This is so sad. Anyway weekly update: I lost my job, it wasn't to do with the felt things from my last post though its all good and since then I haven't really left my room nor have I showered, pretty gross however about a week later I am feeling better and I'm now in Oxford because I haven't been here since January so I'm going to visit everybody while I'm here. Busy week but it will keep my mind off things.

So Jess and I have bought the feathers and stuff for our tour costumes although we have recently decided that we need more sparkles which I definitely agree with. We've managed to make all the head parts which was super exciting we are going to look so amazing. And I know its costing a lot but it will all be worth it, not if but when we get to meet the queen herself. (be positive)! Seeing all the swifties costumes from the Tokyo show was so amazing but scary I feel like we need to up our game, they are so creative. I wish you were there with us, we even went to subway, I mean thats our thing (I did manage to order what I wanted though are you proud?)

HAVE YOU SEEN VIDEOS AND PHOTOS FROM THE TOUR… OHHHHH MY GODDD! I HAVE NO CHILL LIKE SERIOUSLY ALL CHILL I HAD IS GONE, SO FAR GONE THAT IT WONT BE RETURNING, LIKE EVER! WE! ARE! SEEING! NEW! ROMANTICS! LIVE! I REPEAT WE! ARE! SEEING! NEW! ROMANTICS! LIVE!

I JUST CANT. LIKE OMG THIS WILL BE US SO SOON ITS UNBELIEVABLE. YASSS!

Ok chill isn't found but I'm currently watching Harry Potter and eating chocolate fingers to calm me down. They are soooooo tiny in the first movie omg my feels! You've got dirt on your nose by the way, did you know? My bae. Anyway i'll get back to watching them, I'm planning on watching all of the movies before I go back home :)

Love you millions.

Catch ya later
Georgia out xx

It's been a while..

Dear Chummy,

It's been about four weeks since either of us have posted anything and I am well aware it's Monday not Sunday however things are better late than never am I right ;). Ok so whats been going on since you went back home? Hmm the answer is absolutely nothing, I am back to my boring friendless life which is definitely not fun, all I have been doing is working. I am on arts and crafts now and its not going too badly I guess although I still hate it, people ask me so much stuff and I literally have no idea what planet they are from. All i've managed to do is send people the wrong way for stuff and help a lady swap some felt things so she didn't have to buy 2 packs which I would definitely be fired for if they found out so shhh. (Shit I'm scared that they have me on cctv now or something omg) We'll worry about that if it happens. Hows work for you?

I miss you so much its really sad, I literally don't know what to do with myself, I have nobody to share chocolate fingers with, nobody to go on windy bike rides with, nobody to listen to taylor with, nobody to take horrendous selfies with, nobody to fall asleep with harry potter background noise to, nobody to make fun of Leo with, and nobody to make fun summer plans with. It's horrible, come back be here.

Although I am super excited for our trip away to Cologne and Amsterdam seeing Taylor three times if we can its going to be the best trip ever with my favourite people ever. I found a few things we could do in each place if there is anything you can find to add thats cool too (suppose it gives you a post idea for next time ;))..

Cologne;

  1. See Taylor Swift (duhh)
  2. Cologne cathedral
  3. Chocolate museum
  4. Museum Ludwig
Amsterdam;
  1. See Taylor (double duhh)
  2. Van Gogh museum
  3. Bike around Vondel park
  4. Canal boat ride
  5. Kittenkabinet museum (cats)
  6. Flea markets
  7. Coffee shops
  8. Red light district
  9. Xtra cold ice bar
  10. Cool photos at the ' I Amsterdam' sighn
I am also very excited about our amazing sounding costumes for the 1989 tour! I hope we get to meet Taylor, I mean my life would honestly be made! Me and Jess are going to the shop to see about them on Saturday but i'll save that for the next post ;)

Omg!! I almost forgot, next month I'm booking T in the park! That is going to be AMAZING! jvhjsghfjdsg! The line up looks pretty good, I hope the bands I want to see don't clash that would be the worst but I'm sure it'll be ok! The whole vibe is just so fun! Yay summer plans make me so happy! (not that i have asked work for the time off yet, if they say no i'll phone in sick I have it all planned out) Get listening to peoples new albums ready for it, Das what I'm doing right now… The Wombats new album is so great, I think you'll like it! And festivals are a great opportunity for tumblry friendship photos ;) This means I need to go summer clothes shopping, not that I have money but oh well.

photo of the day:
SQUAD AF

Not really sure what else to write about tbh. If I think of something I'll put it in my notes for next week.
See you on snapchat, Oh wait my texts are working again yay group chat with my babes, speak to you there!

Love and miss you millions!

you've been asleep for about a week

Dear Chummy,

We're having separate conversations within the titles, its bloody fantastic, the Hannah Montana lyrics being my fave. Talking of Hannah Montana; throw back to downloading all of her albums on Jayden's dad's spotify and posting it to his Facebook *insert evil laugh* When you're here we need to make a really cheesy playlist so we can move the furniture and have a cheesy dance party, I'm looking forward to it. I would have said its my birthday in exactly a week but I'm a day late posting however as you nicely put it everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days.

Wow sounds like you've been super busy, your photos look great I love them! I want to go on long walks actually I fancy going on a hike, how about it? Work looks like so much fun, I'm glad you're enjoying it and I'm not jealous at all, ok I lied Im so jealous like unbelievably jealous I can't wait to meet your new friends and learn all the Aussie lingo. My work on the hand has been extremely boring and annoying and I hate it and all one of the managers does is moan at me ugh. Enough negativity - we don't need that!

Ok so you know how I said I had a brilliant idea for the next post, well seen as we're no longer leaving the shitty country my long list of things you'll need to remember for our trip otherwise you'll go insane has gone out the window. Not to worry *switches creative side of the brain on* While we wait for that side of my brain to wake up, friendly reminder that we seriously need to think about flights and accommodation for Amsterdam we don't want to be in this situation again now do we… Got it, its not creative but its a new and improved list;

long (or not so long) list of alternative things to do now that we're not going away;

- hiking at the lake district and take cute tumblry hiking selfies for the night.
- go to london for the day and visit the free museums
- stay in oxford (theres actually loads of free museums and stuff to do there too)
- bike rides
- coffee with jess
- re create taylor swift and friends photos (yes lets do that anyway) i.e.;

- last but not least… think of more ideas.

Did you see the photo booth Abi ( Taylor's best friend) had for her birthday? I want to do something like that but one, I don't have that many friends and two, I no longer have the trusty pink box of dressing up stuff because mice ate it, gross, they didn't eat the glasses though so if you have any funky hats and stuff bring them with you.

Since finishing Pretty Little Lairs I kinda feel lost, like I've started watching another series but I don't think anything will ever be as good as that was wow random I know but it makes me sad and I thought it was worth mentioning, do you know what I mean? I didn't cry like I did with The Vampire Dairies though haha! We'll have to find something else to watch, something so exciting and interesting that I don't want to stop watching, I love that kind of Tv.

Anyway this post is much longer than the previous ones considering I've done less in the past week than before, whatever i'll leave it here. I can't wait to see you on Thursday, if Phill picks you up in the morning you can come pick me up from work on your way back and see me doing absolutely nothing, or I'll go with Phill to pick you up when I've finished, either either (spelt the same, said differently)! See you soon yaaaaaaaaaaaaay :)

Cya later aligator.

Georgia out *peace love and war sign*
xx

What day is it??

Dear Chummy,

Like my last post, I'm starting this one by saying how busy I have been! I started work properly last week and boy was it fun! The late nights are really getting to me though, the amount of times I've legitimately completely forgotten what day of the week it is, haha. My first few shifts were also really scary, but I feel like I've picked it up really quickly! I find that it's a lot easier when it's busier.. I mean you have no time to think about what you're doing and you're just doing it, ya know? When it's quiet you start thinking shit, what if I mess this up? They're watching me! I also feel more pressured when people are shouting my name.. I get that a lot! And if it's not my name, it's Taylor Swift's name because apparently I look like her?! Cocktails are actually really fun to make.. I think I'm good at them, apart from when I get the glass stuck and bruise my hand trying to separate them! (another thing that's horrible when there are people watching me! - I'm so weak ahh). I think the best thing about where I work is definitely the people.. ah I love them so much! They say loads of cool things, in really cool accents and they're so much fun! They have so many stories to tell about places they've been and things that have happened, it makes me feel really boring! I feel like I have a little Aussie family, I literally can't wait for you to meet them :) :)

Even though I haven't worked for four nights, I've been asked if I wanna go out every single night, it's so nice aha.. I went out on Monday to this place called Mr Wolfs, I think you'd like it there. The music was so different! It was like bluesy, jazzy stuff like Elvis Presley and that Hit The Road Jack song it was so much fun.

Since the last time I posted, I went on a really nice walk with Alex and Wez, #TeamCulture. We waited for the bus for like an hour but it didn't come so we decided to walk up to the Clifton Suspension Bridge. When the bus did come, it got stuck in traffic and we overtook it walking anyway so it wasn't all bad aha. We had a few drinks at a really nice (but pricy) pub there and then got fish and chips on the way home.

The next day, I went to Nan's with Mum and Evan which was also really fun! We sang Taylor Swift in the car and had dinner in a little pub by the harbour and on Sunday we walked along The Hoe with ice cream before driving back here and having dinner out again! I love little trips away, even if it's just one night. It's so exciting, especially if it's last minute! Speaking of such things, I literally cannot wait to go away! I really hope Jess and Jasmine can come - I'll be really sad if they don't, it all seems so perfect right now. I also can't wait to get matching tattoos, they're going to be so cute.. do we need to book those? I'm hoping I can afford it (lol).
I guess with the spontaneous holiday, tattoos and the culture-filled walks, maybe I am as interesting as the people I work with?? Nah, still not close!

DUDE! Can you believe it's April already?? How quick has the last year gone!! You've been living in your house nearly a year now, that's crazy! It's not even January but I feel like I need to do a recap of all the things that have happened in the last year..

(I said I feel like it, I won't actually do it though.. gunna save that for another post!)

Before writing this post, I read this one Matt and Bro Orange. It is really long, but it's a reallly good story, I loved it! Really inspiring actually and the videos in it made me want to make some when we go away, I kinda really want to vlog but that's scary ahaha. Let's just take lots of really artsy photos that we can post on here :) We can get some printed too and put them in our travel scrapbook (that's upside down and back to front!) we could also go to the travel agents and find a brochure on wherever we end up going!

The flat is so quiet with everyone gone, but I don't really mind. There's lots of things I can do now, like singing as loud as I want, and walking round in my underwear, peeing with the door open and making as much mess as I want. Alex is back tomorrow though so I won't be able to do that :( He wants to use my room for his friends but no way, Jose! Like I probably could let him and just sleep at Walkies but it's my bed man (and he left me to tidy everything up) :((.

This is a really long post, I don't apologise.. I like how it makes up for the fact I forgot Wednesdays even exist last week and also how your posts have been short recently ahahaha.
OH! I have a really really really good idea for your birthday present (YAY) I know you're going to love it! It might even be on time, but I know it doesn't matter if it's not so no pressure on me, yipee!

I'm going to leave the post here, and like before maybe even fill in the space from last Wednesday just because I have an idea.

Cya, wouldn't wanna be ya,
Chelsea xx
